Unusual Asian Delicacies

This is a blog about traveling in a different way, when i said "different way" i meant we follow an unsual path. Normally, "traveling" the word by itself make you think about nice accommodation, great sightseeing, and delicious food, but today is the day we'll take you to one of the different ways of traveling. Asia is known not just for its diverse cultures and traditions, but also a galore of exotic foods that often surprises and astonishes, sometimes not to a positive effect. Now to list all the unusual food that i did try and i'm totally in love with. So if you ever have a chance to go to Asia especially the South East area, give these foods a try, they may not suit everyone’s taste, but the following foods, whilst considered weird and bizarre to some people, are considered delicious delicacies in our country.

This one call "vit lon" in Vietnamese or "balut" in Philippine is either duck or chicken eggs, but always half-fertilized. As unappealing as half-developed ducklings are, but this one is high in protein and also, an delicious and it taste way better than it look. I especially like it to be cooked with butter, lemon and peanut.

Snake wine is a bottle of rice wine with a venomous snake inside and has ‘medicinal purposes’, It originated in Vietnam,i think 7 out of 10 Vietnamese families have one of these at home, i dont like the taste, its taste like a a really go off beer mix with i dont know maybe snake, well its good for health they said.

If you like your fruit stinky then you’ll be in your element with the durian. It’s said to smell of rotting flesh and can be found at markets across Asia, especially Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. Personally, this is what we call "king of fruit" and i just love it, i love how it looks, i love how it smells an it just taste good with everything and you can't miss out something that's the king, right?

"Tiết canh" is a traditional dish of raw blood and cooked meat in Vietnam. The most popular is tiết canh vịt, made from raw duck blood and duck meat. Extremely flavorful!! At the time, I could not understand why some would not eat it. Then I was told what I was eating. What a wonderful dish. The peanuts really set me to eat more and more, but there wasn't enough of it
They look like the anti-egg, and smell like sulfur. Century eggs are just about everything Western Palates are taught not to eat, but passing them up would be a mistake (at least save them for me), this one is abso-freakin-lutely delicious with lean pork congee!!!!!

Vietnamese don’t waste any part of the animal. Pha lau stands display piles of beef and pork intestines, lungs, kidney, heart and stomach. The tasty innards are chopped up and loaded into baguette sandwiches or sold by the plate to accompany rounds of beer or rice wine. I basicly grow up with this dish

yes! you're right thats raw octopus hat has been cut into small pieces and served immediately!!! how delicious its sound like, well, i must say if you are not a fan of sushi and raw fish dont even think about try this dish, it has a really funky taste.

Lan Kwai Fong is a small L-shaped, cobble-stoned streets where you’ll find a lot of nightclubs, bars, pubs and Western-style restaurants.

The nightclub action is jammin’ and the music is loud, just the way it ought to be for a night on the town in Hong Kong.

Sunrise at Mount Tai

Great view of Jade Emperor Peak

I even could see the view of Taian City at the top of Mount Tai

Fortunately, the weather was good that day. Here was the sunrise!

This is the moment should be remembered! BTW, it was so coldddddd!

Very admirable worker, all the are delivered manually to Mount Tai

Mount Tai is located in western Shandong, just north of the city of Tai'an and to the south of the provincial capital Jinan.Mount Tai is one of the "Five Great Mountains". It is associated with sunrise, birth, and renewal, and is often regarded the foremost of the five.

It is not easy to watch the sunrise on Mount Tai. If you are lucky enough you might get to see it. I started at 12:00 am midnight. At the beginning, it was very scary when you walk in the dark alone as you are ascending up the mountain. However, you will see more people as you go up. We all have one purpose--the sunrise.

Some hints for watching the sunrise on Mount Tai

  • It is cheap to purchase a flashlight and crutch at the foot of the mountain.
  • The temperature is very cold at the top of the mount but you can rent a coat only costs 10 yuan.
  • Check the seasonal sunrise timetable before you start climbing.
  • Generally, it takes you 3~4 hour to climb to the top.
  • The higher you climb, the more expensive to buy things.
  • For people who don't what to climb, you can take a telpher to Zhong Tian Gate and continue to climb from there.
  • The telpher only operates in day time.

Taiwan

Taiwan

I really like Taiwan, which are a island next to china, because of their food and night view.
Taiwan draws much of its culinary heritage from China, but to label it ‘Chinese food’ is an oversimplification.
When the first Han settlers came from China, the recipes and cooking styles they brought along met the ingredients and culinary traditions of Taiwan’s aboriginal peoples and became something new and different.
This new cuisine was further modified, first by new immigrants from other areas of China, and later by the Japanese who ruled the island for 50 years.
Seafood, sweet potatoes, taro root and green vegetables cooked very simply are at the heart of many traditional Taiwanese sit-down meals, while roadside stands and night market stalls offer variety worthy of its own story to those who enjoy to eat.
Taipei 101, formerly known as the Taipei World Financial Center, is a landmark skyscraper located in Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan. The building ranked officially as the world's tallest from 2004 until the opening of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai in 2010.
The tower has served as an icon of modern Taiwan ever since its opening, and received the 2004 Emporis Skyscraper Award. Fireworks launched from Taipei 101 feature prominently in international New Year's Eve broadcasts and the structure appears frequently in travel literature and international media.

The best island in Australia - Kangaroo island

Kangaroo island is the island that you can see the kangaroo all around the island, this is the third largest island in Australia, It is 112 kilometer southwest of Adelaide at the entrance of Gulf St Vincent.

My Favourite Beach in Australia - COOGEE

COOGEE BEACH

Coogee is one of my favourite beaches in Australia. Why would I love Coogee more than Bondi it is not only because I had live Coogee but also I like the atmosphere of the beach. Coogee Beach is relatively well protected through its formation as a bay. The surrounding coastline is mostly cliffs, decreasing in height down to the beach in the western part of the bay. At the northern end of the beach are stairs leading from Dolphin Point down to the old Giles baths. This is now an open rock pool carved out of the surrounding rocks. This area is now known as ”Dolphin Point” in memory of Australian victims of the 2002 Bali bombing, among them a number of residents of Coogee and six members of the Coogee Dolphins rugby league team. It is a quite beach and you can enjoy your time quietly not busy like Bondi. Coogee Beach offers shady park lands, free BBQ facilities, public amenities and a great food and entertainment district along Coogee Bay Road and surrounding Streets.
